CONTEST! It’s a Girl Thing

On Tuesday night, I’m attending It’s a Girl Thing, a fundraiser being put on by United Way/Centraide Ottawa. This lovely evening of pampering is taking place at Third Avenue Spa, and we’ll be hanging out with the lovely and talented Kimothy Walker from CTV News, having mini-massages, mini-manicures, Aveda makeup demos, cocktails, and the chance to bid on  some great silent auction items and some freebies too! Oh, I also heard that blues guitarist Steve Marriner will be on hand to give us a private concert!

You could use a night of pampering, right? I thought so. Well, the amazing Stacey at United Way/Centraide has given me TWO tickets to give away (a $100 value)!

All you have to do to enter the contest is tell me, in the comments, why YOU think you deserve to be pampered. I’ll give the pair of tickets to only one winner, so they can bring a friend.

I’ll select the winner on Monday evening.

Good luck!

I would love this evening out. I’ve been dealing with so much in terms of family health, and trying to buy a house with my boyfriend. It would be a nice escape for a few hours, and I could use some pampering!

I deserve to be pampered because I had a baby three months ago and I am currently spending my days taking care of her and kicking my own ass to get ino better shape than I was in before she was even a twinkle in my eye.

I’m a busy Realtor smack in the middle of an early Spring market and would love a little pampering and girl time. I’m also on the Board of Directors of a non profit organization and love the idea of combining a fun evening with fund raising.

I would love to be pampered! I need this because I always forget to take care of myself. I am too busy taking care of others. The two young kids that I spend my days with are very wonderful but very exhausting!

I’d love to feel like a ‘girl’ again. Working as a dispatcher with 22 truckers, and over 100 guys in the plant means you lose touch with the little touches of luxury (read hair and nails) that I loved. When I’m not dealing with men, I’m making pretty things for other women, so maybe it’s my turn for a little while to just be a girl, doing girl things, and letting someone pamper me.

I think my mom and stepmom could really use some pampering. I love them to bits and I’m so grateful that they’re friends. They’ve both worked their whole lives caring for others as social workers with the elderly and with dementia patients. I’d really like to see them relax and enjoy being taken care of themselves.

And let’s face it; they could use a manicure…working in health care settings really wreaks havoc on your hands with the obsessive hand-washing! 🙂
